Night #2 for gunman

Darkness has fallen on Central Hawke’s Bay and the gunman being hunted by dozens of police officers.

So night #2 is underway for the cordon around the area known as the Otawhao block – an area settled by ballot after the first world war.

Some farmers have been allowed back in…. I took this when one dairy farmer finally convinced the AOS to let him back onto his farm to milk his 700 cows that hadn’t been near the shed since the night before. Not being milked at this time of year, in these atrocious weather conditions, can lead to serious animal health issues.

And the AOS out in force again, taking over cordon duty from the police. My two children were extremely impressed with the officers with large guns.

Will insert #2 photo when my mobile decides to like being connected to my laptop 🙂

Our house is behind the far trees. Too close for comfort!
