Two sleeps to go

Two sleeps to go.

The letter to Santa will be rewritten from the last time we had Christmas in Gisborne. Grandma doesn’t have a chimney you see, so we have to advise the big man which door will be unlocked.

You should visit homepaddock’s wordpress site for Ele’s 12 days of Christmas with a rural theme. Very funny – dying to know if she gets her Christmas tree…

We decorated our Christmas tree at the weekend. You may think that’s late but we don’t put anything Christmasy up until hubby has had his birthday on the 17th. Only fair. Not that the bloke would care anyway. Maybe he’s secretly pleased? Bah Humbug.

On a sad note, we had a funeral today. Kitty, alias fluffy, tiger or a raft of other pet names, has passed away in a screaming heap after coming off second best in a tangle with a car on the road. We miss her.

She’s buried beside Marcella, the last kitten not to survive Takapau-Ormondville highway.

And Sarah wants a dog. Yeah Right.

Have you heard about those Tui ads? Tui is the beer around here. Yes I’d love to have tea at your mother’s place. Yeah Right. No your bum doesn’t look fat in those jeans. I bought it for the stories. I like it when you talk to me during the rugby. Yeah right, Yeah right, Yeah right.

Anyway, it’s late, Kate, and tomorrow is Christmas Eve.

After being one of these horribly annoying people who smugly reminded everyone she had purchased all her Christmas presents throughout the year, I have now been left with twice as many presents as I need and no wrapping paper.

Two sleeps to go.

  1. Oh strange. Tomorrow -is- Christmas Eve. I didn’t even think about it that way.
Ugh, I need to get shopping.

    • And I’m only an hour 20 from the clock ticking over to Christmas Eve. Off for the holiday tomorrow and this blogging isn’t getting my work done 🙂
      Merry Christmas all
