Put down your phones!

This is so true. How many times see teenagers (especially, but not just them) sitting in a group all looking at their phones.

A cousin once had a bunch of his son’s friends around at their house… walked into the living room and no one was talking to each other. They were all on their phones. When he noticed one text something to someone on the other side of the room, he left to get a basket and proceeded to give an ultimatum. Give him their phones or leave. One left (but waited outside). The others gave up their phones and proceeded to have a great night talking and playing card games etc. They all raved about what a great night it had been when the dad finally gave the phones back.

We should do it more often. Turn them off.

I thoroughly enjoyed an uninterrupted game of golf with hubby and x2 kids for Mother’s Day yesterday on Takapau’s new quick golf course (nine holes all par three or four). It was lovely.

For the record, Thomas beat me by two shots. Bugger!

Take a moment to watch the video. It’s worth it.
